Our approach
One person. One team. One plan.
ONE Balance is neither a hospital nor an ordinary hotel. It is a multidisciplinary medical hospitality centre that coordinates medical, rehabilitation, nutrition and hospitality professionals around one personal plan, led by a medical director.
Our work begins with a complete understanding of the person, not only the diagnosis. Medical history, medication, function, sleep, nutrition, personal goals, concerns and preferred way of living are brought together into one clinical picture. This allows thoughtful decisions, reduces fragmented care and creates a plan that is safe, dignified, measurable and realistic.
Medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, fitness and hospitality work together.
Privacy, dignity, independence and personal choice guide every stage.
Clear from the beginning
What “included” means
The programme fee covers the treatments, activities and services defined in the Member’s agreed personal programme. It is priced around the person and the coordinated day—not merely the room.
There is no fixed commercial treatment quota and no separate charge for each treatment included in the Member’s agreed personal programme.

What “included” means
- Agreed medical and nursing support
- Agreed rehabilitation and therapeutic movement
- Agreed clinical nutrition and practical food education
- Agreed personal assistance and daily coordination
- Agreed spa, grooming and relaxation services
- Private accommodation and planned meals
- Programme reviews, documentation and adjustments
- Discharge guidance and preparation for home
Frequency and duration always depend on medical suitability, safety, goals, function, fatigue, response, preference, professional and facility availability, and the scope of the written proposal. “Included” never means clinically unlimited or automatically appropriate.
What may require separate payment
Unless expressly included in the written personal proposal, the following are outside the standard programme fee:
- External hospital or emergency care
- Surgery, external procedures, imaging or laboratory tests
- Medication and personal medical equipment
- External specialist consultations
- Travel health, medical-evacuation and repatriation insurance
- Activities and third-party services not expressly included in the written personal proposal
- Services beyond the agreed programme scope
- Additional companion or family arrangements not stated in the proposal
Transparency is part of our standard. The personal proposal identifies inclusions, exclusions, expected support level and any known external costs before commitment.

Tailored pathways
Care and recovery shaped around you
Admission to every pathway is subject to medical assessment. The programme and its measures adapt to the person — never the other way around.
Every pathway is a professional framework rather than a fixed package. Following suitability assessment, the team defines clinical and functional goals, session frequency, progress measures and an appropriate daily rhythm. Response is reviewed throughout the stay and the plan is adjusted transparently, with the guest’s understanding and consent.
Rehabilitation at the centre
Rehabilitation is not one appointment a day. It is an integrated process throughout the day.
Rehabilitation goals are carried into getting up, washing, dressing, eating, transfers, walking, rest and purposeful activity. Skills are practised in real contexts, progress is documented, and intensity is adjusted to medical status, fatigue, safety and functional response.
To improve safety, confidence, mobility and independence in measurable ways that matter in everyday life.

The ONE Balance standard
A structured, documented and coordinated clinical process
Every programme begins before arrival and concludes with a clear continuation plan.
Medical-record review and eligibility assessment
Medication reconciliation and risk assessment
Medical, nursing, functional and nutritional assessment
Documented clinical and functional goals
Ongoing monitoring and response documentation
Regular multidisciplinary team reviews
Adjustments according to progress and clinical need
Discharge planning and professional recommendations

Skills for life after ONE Balance
We do not only serve the right meal. We teach Members how to choose well at home.
Clinical nutrition is practical education, not simply a menu. Guidance is provided in a language the Member understands and may cover calories, carbohydrates, protein, fibre, sodium, fluids, meal timing, medication, activity and condition-specific requirements.
- Build a balanced plate and understand portions
- Estimate carbohydrates and distribute them through the day
- Coordinate food with medication, insulin and activity
- Read labels and make informed restaurant choices
- Adapt choices for travel, events and unavailable foods
- Enjoy food while protecting medical and personal goals
The objective is informed independence: the Member should return home more able to make safe, realistic food decisions without depending on ONE Balance.
Safety, dignity and honest boundaries
What ONE Balance can responsibly offer
The team distinguishes clearly between what can be assessed, directly provided, supported or monitored at ONE Balance and what requires an external specialist, hospital or emergency service.
Assessment
Pre-arrival records, medication, risks, function, nutrition, sleep and personal goals are reviewed before a programme is proposed.
Consent and choice
Options, expected benefits, limitations and alternatives are explained. The Member participates in important decisions.
Medication safety
Medication or insulin is changed only by an appropriately authorised clinician and never independently.
Referral
Acute, urgent, complex or deteriorating conditions are referred to an appropriate hospital or specialist.
Spa and foot safety
Neuropathy, reduced sensation, vascular disease, wounds, infection or swelling require assessment before heat, massage, water or foot-care services.
No false promises
ONE Balance does not promise cures, guaranteed remission, medication withdrawal, fixed weight loss, neurological recovery, pain elimination or a result within a set period.
An example—not a fixed timetable
A coordinated day with room for treatment, learning, rest and life
The programme is built around the Member. Each day is reviewed according to medical status, measurements, sleep, energy, pain, skin and foot condition, treatment response, weather, preference and available professionals. Rest is planned care, not lost time.

Gentle movement
Walking, breathing, mobility, stretching or adapted movement.

60-day integrated programme
Where better health meets a better life
The ONE Balance 60-Day Medical Wellness, Recovery & Adventure Programme is designed for people who need professional medical and rehabilitation support without feeling confined to an institutional environment. It brings together coordinated clinical care, wound management, diabetes optimisation, physiotherapy, clinical nutrition, restorative time, luxury hospitality and carefully selected experiences.
This is neither an acute hospital admission nor a restrictive health camp. It is a professionally supervised health journey. Every programme is designed around the guest’s diagnosis, current condition, mobility, personal interests, clinical risks and response to treatment.
Medical responsibility
Structured assessment, authorised clinical oversight, nursing support, medication reconciliation, wound and glucose monitoring, documented goals and regular review.
Rehabilitation in daily life
Physiotherapy, therapeutic movement, gait, strength, balance and functional practice are integrated into the day—not confined to a single appointment.
Restorative luxury
Private accommodation, thoughtful nutrition, attentive personal support, relaxation and dignified hospitality create the conditions for focused recovery.
Purposeful experiences
Culture, nature, ocean experiences and recreation are selected to restore confidence and enjoyment while respecting the clinical plan.
Adventure never sits outside the care plan
Before a significant activity, the team considers the guest’s wound and skin condition, blood-glucose stability, blood pressure where indicated, hydration, medication timing, mobility, fatigue and general wellbeing. Activities may be adapted, postponed or replaced. Medication changes are made only by an appropriately authorised clinician.
There is no fixed commercial treatment quota and no separate charge for each treatment included in the Member’s agreed personal programme. Frequency and duration always depend on medical suitability, safety, goals, function, fatigue, response, preference, professional and facility availability, and the scope of the written proposal. “Included” never means clinically unlimited or automatically appropriate.

Personal by design
Design your day
Each evening, the clinical and hospitality teams review the following day with the guest. Wound healing, glucose results, energy, weather, mobility, appointments, personal interests and rest requirements shape the schedule. A demanding day can be followed by a quieter recovery day, and every change is explained transparently.
The programme is designed to support healing, safer self-management, strength, mobility, sleep, confidence and independence. Outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed. Participation, investigations, treatments and excursions depend on assessment, verified professional capability, clinical progress, local availability and informed consent. Acute or emergency needs are referred to an appropriate hospital or emergency service.
For rest, prevention and renewal
Come to ONE Balance simply to feel good
You do not need to wait for illness before you stop, recharge and choose yourself. ONE Recharge is a personal renewal programme for generally well guests who want to reduce pressure, sleep deeply, move gently, receive attentive care and return home with renewed energy.
Some guests come for medical recovery or rehabilitation. Others arrive because they have worked too hard, slept too little or cared for everyone except themselves. They are not looking for a hospital, a boot camp or another exhausting holiday. They are looking for permission to stop.
Build my personal recharge stayWe do not want to fill your day. We want to free your day.

Health assessment, nutritional guidance, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy or guided activity may be included by choice and suitability. Professional support adapts the experience; it does not take it over.
Meaningful indulgence
Rest, touch, movement, good food and personal attention are not empty extras. Used thoughtfully, they can reduce pressure, support sleep and help a person reconnect with how they want to feel.
Come your way
Stay alone for privacy, as a couple for meaningful time together, or with someone close. Shared experiences and individual time can coexist.
Recharge. Reset. Enjoy.
Give yourself permission to feel good
Come to rest, reconnect, be pampered, begin moving again or simply enjoy a period in which someone else takes care of the details. No race. No pressure. One pleasant experience leading naturally to the next.
Complete support
Everything you need, in one place
The care model brings together medical oversight, nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, movement, emotional support and hospitality. Instead of asking the guest or family to manage multiple providers, ONE Balance coordinates information, schedules and decisions, creating one clear point of responsibility for every question, change and practical need.

A medical director leads your plan, follow-up and coordination across the team.

Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, functional training and tailored exercise.

One familiar person stays close, assists and cares for the details of daily life.

A spacious private room, tailored nutrition, spa, nature and an unhurried routine.
The ONE Balance standard
Clinical excellence. Exceptional hospitality. Uncompromising attention.
ONE Balance is conceived to set a new international benchmark for medical hospitality and wellness: a private coastal estate where clinical responsibility, precise rehabilitation, discretion and deeply personal service operate as one. Luxury here is more than design. It is the time devoted to each guest, the calibre of the professionals, the calm precision of every handover and the ability to shape each day around the individual.
Clinical governance & safety
Medical leadership, medication review, professional documentation, quality procedures, emergency readiness and clear clinical boundaries underpin every programme. ONE Balance complements medical care and does not replace an acute-care hospital.
Personal precision & measurement
Goals, interventions and measures are defined for each guest. Progress is reviewed continuously, allowing rehabilitation, nutrition, activity and daily rhythm to be adjusted from evidence rather than assumption.
One team & complete continuity
Medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, movement and hospitality share one agreed plan. Daily coordination closes gaps and ensures that important decisions reach every professional responsible for delivery.
Privacy, dignity & choice
Informed consent, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity and personal choice are protected throughout the stay. Family involvement is welcomed only according to the guest’s wishes and appropriate professional boundaries.
Purposeful luxury
The estate, accommodation, dining and service are designed to support sleep, calm, movement and recovery. Luxury is expressed through genuine comfort, discretion, time and exceptional attention to detail.
A safe continuation at home
Departure includes a professional summary, practical recommendations, warning signs, follow-up arrangements and a plan for sustaining progress. The stay is designed to become the foundation for lasting change.
Professional departments
Specialist departments working around one guest

At The Paradise Beach Resort in Kikambala, coastal calm meets structured care. Family can be involved according to the guest’s wishes and medical confidentiality.
The stay is intentionally designed to reduce pressure and give the guest space to focus on health. A generous private room, individually planned dining, meticulous housekeeping, accessible surroundings, nature, spa and attentive service create an unhurried rhythm. From treatment times to meal preferences, details are coordinated around comfort, privacy and independence.
Discover Kenya — at the right pace
Meaningful experiences, carefully fitted around care
For guests who wish to explore, Kenya can become a considered part of the stay rather than a separate tourism schedule. The coordination team helps shape optional experiences around clinical priorities, mobility, energy, personal interests and the need for genuine rest.
01Golf & coastal views
Vipingo Ridge
The 18-hole, par-72 PGA Baobab Course offers a premium regional golf experience with coastal views and practice facilities. Golf carts, shorter sessions and planned rest may help tailor the visit, subject to venue availability and individual suitability.
02Safari & nature
Kenya’s remarkable wildlife
Tsavo East and Tsavo West can form part of a carefully paced coastal itinerary. Longer journeys to Amboseli, Maasai Mara or Samburu may be considered when travel tolerance, mobility and the care plan allow.
03Indian Ocean
The coast, experienced gently
Coastal cruising, glass-bottom boat trips and marine viewing may offer a gentler way to experience the ocean. Snorkelling, diving, deep-sea fishing and powered water activities require specific clinical and licensed-operator clearance.
04Heritage & Mombasa
Stories shaped by the coast
Fort Jesus, Old Mombasa and the historic settlement of Gedi reveal the region’s Swahili, maritime and archaeological story. Lamu and other longer excursions may be considered when the itinerary and health plan allow.
More possibilities, always personal
Depending on interests and suitability, a stay may also include birdwatching, conservation visits, photography, botanical gardens, local dining, cultural performances, shopping or quiet private celebrations.
